You won't need more than 2 weeks to visit the island and take full advantage of all the places of interest.
But if you don't have enough time:
In 10 days you can pretty much see the main sights without losing a single day.
In a week you'll have a good overview, but you'll miss out on a lot of beautiful places.
In 2 or 3 days, you can go to Sete Cidades, Mosteiros, Furnas and do a quick tour of the island.
Climate
The climate is oceanic, tempered by the ocean, with little variation in temperature between day and night. It is around 25 degrees C in summer and around 15 degrees C in winter.

Visits
Of course, the most magical places to visit are the lakes of Sete Cidades and Furnas, and the tropical park of Furnas with its hot water pool (the water reaches 38 degrees). There are several places to bathe in the hot water.
And then there are all the natural pools, like those at Mosteiros.
We have lots of little places to recommend that aren't listed in the guidebooks, but we'll be happy to explain them to you on the spot.
